What documents do I need to apply as a former service member?

You’ll need:

  • DD214 Member 4 or Service 2 Form (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty)
  • Social Security card
  • Work history from the past 18 months (military and civilian employment)
  • Bank account details for direct deposit (or choose a VEC-issued debit card)
